Grand National Results

What are the Grand National results? 

  

The Grand National results are the full list of the horses that finished the race in order of finishing position. You’ll be able to quickly see the winner of the race and the horses that placed, as well as the runner that started the race as the favourite.  

   

As soon as the Grand National has finished, you’ll see the up to date Grand National results right here. With the knowledge of how last year’s race played out, you’ll have some key information to inform your Grand National betting for this year.   

  

 

How to read Grand National results 

   

The Grand National results are super simple to read. Each horse that finished the race will be listed in order in which they finished, starting with the horse that won the race in first position. The remaining horses will be listed in order.  

  

When you bet on the Grand National and you’re looking at the Grand National results it’s important to know the number of horses that have placed. This will depend on your bookmaker. At BoyleSports for example, we pay out on seven places for the Grand National. This means if you bet each way on your horse (a bet to win and a bet to place), we pay out if your horse finishes in the top seven positions.  

  

The full Grand National results will also detail the odds on each horse at the time of racing (this is called the starting price) – remember that the amount you win is based on the odds at the time you made your bet not at the time of racing. The full results will also include details of the jockey, trainer and owner too, as well as the finishing distance between the horses.
